Senior Mechanical Engineer

We have an ambitious pipeline of diverse projects in which you will play a key role. In collaboration with our
engineering team, marketing, sales, creative, and other working group leaders, you will design next generation
products built to empower the premium experiences our customers have relied on from us for over 45 years. All
of Princeton Tec’s products are proudly designed and manufactured in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of our Engineering Manager, you will bring our concepts to life by designing with manufacturability and moldability in mind.
  • Actively participate in new product development discussion and execution from conceptualization to release for manufacturing.
  • Participate in stakeholder discussions on development of new product. Support user research to uncover and integrate user needs for concepts and final product intent.
  • Utilize creative design ability to synthesize and translate user needs into finished products.
  • Act as a resource and work effectively and cooperatively with others mechanical, industrial, and electrical
    engineers, project and product managers.
  • Attention to detail with an ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple priorities.
  • Other related duties as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering and/or relevant work experience.
  • Proven track record of work experience demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving abilities preferably for consumer/military products.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated engineering experience, preferably in the consumer electronics or military industries.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, materials, and rapid prototyping processes, DFM, DFA, and FEA.
  • Evidence of strong 2D and 3D CAD experience, preferably with Solidworks.
  • Plastics for injection molding experience.
  • Good communication, organization skills are a must.
  • Demonstrated passion for our markets and product segment not required, but strongly desired.

Mold Maker Apprentice / CNC Operator

Job Location
Berlin, NJ

Summary
Rapidly growing LED personal lighting manufacturer is seeking a Full time 1st shift qualified Mold maker / Tool Maker entry level apprentice for our West Berlin NJ facility.

The qualified candidate shall have an understanding and basic knowledge of bench and machining operations assisting Mold makers to construct, alter, and repair Plastics injection molds with knowledge of machining and tooling practices involving the set up and operation of machines, tools and gauges.

This growth position will have hands on learning opportunity with the goal of expanding the candidate’s knowledge and experience level to a Mold Maker / Tool Maker position of Plastic Injection Molds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide manufacturing support for, injection molds and fixtures with fabrication services to support business and team goals and objectives.
  • Perform machining using manual mills, grinders and engine lathe.
  • Support the manufacture of jigs and fixtures used in Princeton Tec’s manufacturing processes.
  • Provide preventive maintenance routines for the current existing injection molds and tools.
  • Perform other related functions applicable to machining, preventive maintenance of molds and tool die work
  • Observe company policies and safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be able to utilize machine trade measurement devices – Dial Calipers, Mics, Dial Indicators, etc.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Mold Maker / Tool Maker

Job Location

Berlin, NJ

Summary

Rapidly growing LED personal lighting manufacturer is seeking a Full time 1st shift qualified Mold maker / Tool Maker for our West Berlin NJ facility.

The qualified candidate shall be capable of performing all bench and machining operations including experimental work, construct, alter, and repair plastics injection molds involving the highest degree of specialized skill and knowledge of machining and tooling practices involving the set up and operation of all types of advanced machines, tools and gauges.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert mold, fixture and gage design and fabrication services to support business and team goals and objectives.
  • Perform precision machining using manual mills, grinders and engine lathe.
  • Make molds, jigs and fixtures used in Princeton Tec’s manufacturing processes.
  • May program and operate CNC mills. – (A plus but not required)
  • May work in other manufacturing cells on an as needed basis.
  • Review work order, blueprints, specifications and tooling requirements in preparation for making new molds or performing repairs on existing molds
  • Set up and operate EDM machines required for mold fabrication and repair
  • Set up, and operate CNC-controlled milling machines used for mold/part fabrication
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate and make repair recommendations for plastics injection molds
  • Determine machining operations necessary for altering, repairing or constructing new molds
  • Verify in accordance with specifications and blueprints all dimensions, clearances, and tolerances utilizing all types of gauges and precision measuring instruments
  • Perform other related functions applicable to machining and tool die work
  • Observe company policies and safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Specialist level
  • Apprentice graduate or Journeyman certified
  • CAD and/or CAM software experience

Customer Service / Warranty Representative

Princeton Tec, a leading US manufacturer of personal lighting products in the Outdoor, Tactical, Industrial, SCUBA and Bike markets seeks a full time Customer Service Representative / warranty expeditor . This role will work with all divisions within the company acting as a brand ambassador to ensure the highest level of customer service possible for consumers, dealers, distributors.

Responsibilities and Duties

The primary responsibility of the CSR / WARRANTY will be fielding incoming consumer calls regarding product information, warranty, troubleshooting, and other general inquiries. Along with working in the Warranty Dept two days a week to process and ship warranty returns. We exist for our customers first and foremost, and we are looking for someone who can relate to the demands those customers place on our products, and provide them the best possible customer service experience as we’ve been doing for over 45 years. Expertise in one of the following areas is necessary, and if you can speak to several that’s even better: Camping, Hiking, Backpacking, Climbing, Kayaking, Fishing, Hunting, or Cycling.

Duties will also include:

  • Assisting consumers, dealers, and distributors resolving product and service issues
  • Working in the warranty department two days a week to ensure a high level of service in a timely manner

Qualifications and Skills

You should have professional communication skills, swift problem solving ability, and be capable of multitasking in a continually evolving work environment. You should also have experience and proficiency with MS Office, a passion for the outdoors, and an understanding of the outdoor marketplace.
