National Police Week; How Princeton Tec is Spreading Awareness

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed the week of May 15th to be National Police Week, a week where citizens honor police officers across the country for their dedication, bravery, and sacrifice in order to keep their communities as safe and secure as possible. The purpose of the week is especially focused on paying tribute to the officers that gave the ultimate sacrifice of their lives in the line of duty.

All over the country, people gather in support of police officers throughout the week and hold events such as candle-light vigils, memorial services, and more to bring together active officers, their families, as well as the families and friends of fallen officers. The week also serves to spread awareness about optimal officer safety, and how departments everywhere can work to enhance the security of our heroic officers.

This year, Princeton Tec is joining in on the celebration of active and retired police officers, as well as the remembrance of the fallen, and paying homage by spreading awareness and gifting a police unit a bundle of gear for each officer. We’ve also teamed up with our friends at Crye Precision and Mission First Tactical, brands who share our value in celebrating everyday heroes, and are also contributing to the gift.

In a time where being a police officer is more difficult than ever, with a rise in crime and a dip in funding in multiple cities across the nation, Princeton Tec hopes to spread awareness with our Police Week campaign to encourage the heightened support and enhanced respect that our Brothers and Sisters in Blue deserve.
